Puñeta

Would you buy a broom off this guy? I know I would. This pic was taken by myself during a dodgy visa run in 2009. Mexico really is as sketchy as people make out based on personal experience.

Haggard Mutt

Tripped up north with Vocko, Samson, Steve and Mackle this weekend. The trip was a shit load of fun, we hit spots in Gympie, Maryborough, Tiaro and Hervey Bay. The weather was good and we even managed to get accommodation at a back packers despite the Easter weekend crowds.

Vocko did a solid up rail to bars on this rail, so sick:

Mackle came within a bee's dick of landing this nose manual:

Failed bars attempt:

As a result Steve and Samson threw shoes at Mackle:

There was also a bunch of other rad shit that went on which I was too lazy to take photos of. Despite having to come home a day early due to family commitments I couldn't think of a better way to spend a couple of days; rad company, good spots and a shit load of smart ass remarks...

Riding High light of the weekend: Tiaro Rail sesh.

Non Riding High light of the weekend: Mackle Frisbeeing a day old box of pizza with two slices left in it onto the road then Samson proceeding to take a bite out of one of the slices after a car had run over the box hahaha good times.

Some of this was filmed with the old fish eye which sucked an anus (lets face it) and I had a few issues with the quality but other than that I'm pretty stoked on how it turned out. Enjoy!

Pushing

Since the homie Morgann has been asked buy the guys over at Sputnic and Sparkys to produce an edit, we've been out in the streets, clippin' hard in the South of France.

Here's some Iphone pics I took from the spots we've been shredding:

Apartment complex blocks

Undercover concrete ghetto spot on the beach

Marble curbs

Crazy drains

Super dope/high rail

Morgann slaying it

And to finish, here's last Morgann's edit filmed by Lenaic, it was his introductory video for Sputnic. Last hop is insane:

Lag

I've had the last week off work and spent it in Sydney with my lovely lady and my bike. I didn't get as much riding in as I'd hoped due to rain and also a mountain of family/old friends to visit plus some visa shit to take care of but below are a few picks from my time down there...

Went to the Hell on Wheels end of Daylight savings jam at 5 dock and encountered my first ever death bowl, so sick haha

This tree ride was right by the Skatepark the Homie MTL and I rode it for a while, seems like good tree rides are rare and this one was super fun:

Connections

Since I've been back to mother land aka France, I've been riding with my really good friend Morgann, who I started riding with and came visit me in Australia last year.

He got hooked up by Sputnic through the French distributor Unleaded and been destroying everything here in the South of France.

Recently he received an email from Ronnie Bonner over at Shadow and Sparkys Distribution telling him that they were coming to Europe for an 11 days business trip to check distributors and shops.

So a week later Morgann and I went to meet Ron, Mike and Arnaud from Sparkys and spent the day with them chilling in our town in Nice.

This guys are the truth, they payed everything for us, we laughed so much and it was such a rad time hanging out with them and showing them our cities.

Here's a few pics

They invited us to go visit them in Orlando, Florida and they are now part of the family ahha!

Shadow and Sparkys Distribution are doing the right things for the industry and those guys know whats up!

So once again I would like to thanks them for this awesome day and everything they've done for us. It was amazing!

The Albion

The Albion is a brand new BMX magazine from the UK that was released today.

But who's gives a damn you would ask me.

Its is a free printed magazine! yeah yeah you heard right, with all the Interweb bullshit it is good to see that people still believe in the good old paper support!

The people behind it are no other than dedicated old contributors from RIDE UK

George Marshall – One of the best photographers around at the moment, few could deny that.
Steve Bancroft – A rider and photographer whose proved his mettle after 10 years in the industry.
Tim March – A true BMX legend and inventor of the skid. Tim will be looking after the brands that support us.
Daniel Benson – A highly respected photographer and rider, who will be bringing this motley crew together.

The Albion will be available for free at local bike shops and selected stores nationwide.

The magazine will be on the shelves on the 1st of every other month starting with our first issue on April Fools day.

The size of the magazine will be a backpack friendly 200 x 265 with pagination of 148 including cover. Ads to Editorial will never exceed 40% – 60%

Seriously go check it, I heard a lot of good stuff about it.

More info on the website here.

the DIGGEST

The DIGGEST is a french website created and run by Soul Magazine photographer, Props contributor and all around french badass photographer Vincent PERRAUD.

It is basically a french version of the famous art/photo BMX related website DEFGRIP.

It is definitely an awesome website full of good features and photo galleries. I posted bellow a few pictures taken in Austin, TX from Megatour 10, and you can see the rest of the gallery here.

Enjoy

Archives

I love how lost footage surfaces randomly on the interweb sometimes!

Daddy Vockenson over at Crispystream found this lil mix of old footage captured by the homie Dave Philips over last year. Its pretty chilled, and errboy from the coast crew is in it and uses a awesome Bettles song!

It's sweet to see some old footage re-surfacing.
