Shanghai

The second leg of the trip brought me to Shanghai. We endured a 17 hour train ride from Hong Kong to Shanghai which was an experience to say the least. Thank fuck I didn't need to take a dump they only had squatting toilets on the train which were revolting to say the least. Anyway on the first day I rode SMP park I was pretty tired and didn't do all that much but is was still fun. Everything in this park is BIG (sometimes too big) haha

University that George and I rode, we literally rode in the one uni all day and didn't get kicked out. People including security are genuinely interested in what you are doing and get stoked on you doing tricks... really nice for a change haha

Many people here have jobs working on the street. Whether it be fixing shoes, cooking food or in this case tube repairs on bikes and scooters. It's all pretty interesting and kind of an eye opener as to how lucky we are and how much some people take things for granted in westerised countries. This guy fixed George's flat tyre for 3RMB which is about 25 cents AU. This is how he makes a living, in an hour he might make $1.00 AU...

Old ladies love George's hair haha

Stopping mid session for a feed in a whole in the wall restaurant, dirt cheap and so tasty.

Maybe the best ledge I've ever ridden. Marble is so fast and this was directly opposite a government building. We rode it for a good half hour with no hassles...

George likes wall rides

This is common practice in major cities in China. Everyone gets around on bikes or scooters. Some dudes get so stoked on your BMX that they'll tow you along to the next spot.

Hong Kong/China have been a cheap and way fun experience. It'd be sweet to come back here with crew.
